FORMULA 1 SURPRISES Silverstone – who would have thought!

Nico Hulkenberg’s luck never leaves.

She had left him for a long time to his fate. Having left “in reserve” without a single podium, he hoped for a triumphant return.

And here it is, a miracle! The coronavirus has forced Perez to isolate himself. As a matter of urgency, the “Hulk” was in Silverstone.

Everyone is jubilant, anticipating a possible victory, or, points zone for Niko, who saddled a “pink Mercedes” … but …
Racing Point announces technical problems with the car. Niko Hulkenberg does not start … it remains to believe that he will be left for the second race in a week!
On the second lap, Kevin Magnussen collided with Albon and flew onto gravel. On the replays it was clear that the “Khaasian” seemed to give place to Alex Albon, moving to the left, but changed his mind.

In an attempt to return to the previous trajectory, Kevin Magnussen touches the opponent’s wheel and flies out … it’s good that he was not injured. After the investigation, Albon was fined 5 seconds.
On lap 13, AlphaTauri pilot Daniil Kvyat crashed. The impact, of course, was strong. The replay shows that he took off himself, completely without the help of competitors. Due to this circumstance, almost all cars looked at the pit stop, replacing soft tires with medium or hard ones.
On the penultimate lap, Valtteri Bottas had a broken front left wheel. The forced tire change brought him to 11th place.
On the last lap, Carlos Sciens got a puncture, finishing in 13th place. And …. the last half of the circle on a puncture rode the champion – Lewis Hamilton !!! He is the record holder for victories at home! Seventh championship!
Ferrari has a clear lead for Leclerc. He finished third and took the podium. And the four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel started from 10th position and finished there. I did not lose, but I did not rise up either. Many people talk about sabotage. Of course, this is impossible not to confirm, not to refute … although it seems to be true.
It is impossible not to mention the work of Pierre Gasly. He squeezed absolutely everything out of the car and came in seventh.
Renault have outdone themselves! On average, frankly speaking, cars they bypassed the Mercedes “Racing Point”, bypassed their McLaren clients (who have a Renault engine) and Riccardo was in fourth place.

Esteban Ocon is on the sixth. Daniel almost made it to the podium at Renault. If this happened – most likely Red Bull would challenge the position of Mercedes. And others would have found something to complain about. But … alas and ah! Renault was so close …
So many surprises for you! And the experts thought that everything would go according to plan …

As a result, they got to the podium:

  1. Lewis Hamilton
  2. Max Verstappen
  3. Charles Leclair
There is one more race ahead on this track, exactly one week later! Under completely different weather conditions. Today at Silverstone it is about +20, but in a week they are expecting higher than +30! High temperatures are not for Mercedes engines …
Surprises will await us again! I think it will be hot … in every sense of the word!
