Cyprus and Switzerland signed a protocol amending the Treaty on the Avoidance of Double Taxation

Cyprus and Switzerland today signed a protocol amending the existing double taxation agreement, with both sides stating that the protocol further strengthens the framework of economic relations between the two countries.

The protocol, signed on behalf of Cyprus by the Minister of Finance Konstantinos Petridis and the Ambassador of Switzerland to Cyprus, Pierre Yves Fu, among others, introduces in the treaty the minimum standards against the erosion of the tax base and transfer of profits of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The treaty between the two countries was signed in 2014.
